Privacy policy
This policy covers princejerianguide.com (New Game Guides). The site is run by one independent publisher; see the about page. You don't need an account to read anything here.
What we collect
- Page view counts. When a page loads, your browser sends the page path and the name of the site that linked to it (for example "google.com"). We store daily totals per page together with the country Cloudflare reports. We don't store IP addresses, and this count uses no cookies or advertising IDs.
- Messages you send. If you use the contact form, we store your message, its topic, the page it is about and, only if you choose to give it, an email address. We use it only to answer you or fix the page.
- Requests from Google's systems. To see when Google's crawlers visit the site, we record requests that come from Google's network or whose browser identification contains "Google": the time, the address of the page requested, the browser identification string, the network number and our response code. We don't record IP addresses.
- Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (including IP addresses) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
We don't set cookies of our own. The site stores one setting in your browser's local storage only if you open a page with
?qa=1, which we use to exclude our own test visits from the page counts.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We have applied to show ads through Google AdSense. No ads are shown on the site at the moment. When ads are turned on, they will be served by Google, and this section describes what that means:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
- Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent tool before personalized ads are shown.
How long we keep it
- Daily page totals: up to 13 months.
- Messages from the contact form: deleted within 12 months.
- Records of requests from Google's systems: deleted after 180 days.
Your choices
To have a message you sent deleted sooner, or to ask what we hold about a message you sent, use the contact form and tell us roughly when you wrote and what it was about. We don't sell or share personal information.
Children
The site is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page before the change takes effect.
