How Aniimo Seasons Work: Departure with the Wind Part 2 Explained

Updated · Based on 6 official and cited sources

Aniimo seasons arrive in parts. Season 1 Part 2, Departure with the Wind, started with the October 28-29 maintenance and its season content runs until December 9, 23:59 (UTC+0). It added 51 Aniimo, the Whisperwake Isles, new story, higher level caps, eleven events, a new Companion Handbook phase and a Monthly Pass change.

This page explains how seasons work in the game, using Season 1, Departure with the Wind Part 2 as the worked example: what a season part adds, how the Companion Handbook and Monthly Pass fit in, how to weigh the paid options using only what Pawprint Studio has published, and what players tend to misread. It is based on Pawprint’s official Steam posts and the Steam store page, checked on November 1, 2026.

How do Aniimo seasons work?

Season 1 is split into parts, and Part 2 arrived as a version update. It went live after maintenance from October 28, 22:00 to October 29, 07:00 (UTC+0) on Aniimo-Europe, October 28, 19:00 to October 29, 03:00 (UTC-4) on Aniimo-Americas and October 29, 07:00 to 15:00 (UTC+8) on Aniimo-Apac. Players registered before the update got 500 Glimmer as maintenance compensation. The October 30 patch carries the version number v1.1.3857679.0, and Part 2 delivered the Sparkling Hue changes Pawprint had promised for version 1.1 in its October 1 Dev Dispatch, such as switching, for Credits, between hues you have already unlocked.

The season event itself, S1 Departure with the Wind: Part 2, updates three things at once: the Companion Handbook, the Season Achievement track and the Stamp Shop. It needs the Student I title and runs until December 9, 23:59 (UTC+0), the same moment as December 9, 19:59 (UTC-4) and December 10, 07:59 (UTC+8). The season currency changed too: the stamp is now the Windchaser Stamp, and leftover Windborn Stamps were converted to Credits automatically at 1:2000.

What did Part 2 add?

Area What Part 2 added
New Aniimo 51 new Aniimo, including four season-exclusive Prismana Aniimo (Jeburst, Glameep, Pouchwisp, Royalby), Hypnyto from the Companion Handbook, Prismana Eklue from the Season Achievement, and Jaguaraun, the first player co-created Aniimo
Region The Whisperwake Isles, opening Crescent Bay, Rosy Mirelands, Wildwater Gorge and Cloudreach Falls
Story The Whisperwake Isles story, five new Journey Quests with four more to follow, and new Journey Journal entries
Growth stage Trailblazer II raises the Aniimo cap from 60 to 65; Trailblazer III raises character and Aniimo caps to 70; new Active Skills and Passive Talents
Gameplay season update Operation: Egg Heist (a three-team mode in testing), a new Home season, new Holo-Battle Sim stages, a new Holo-Battle Interlink season and Spar 4v4 duels
Events Eleven events, from a 14-day login check-in to photo, survey, racing and outfit contests
Companion Handbook A new phase featuring Hypnyto
Monthly Pass Alpha Challenge can consume double Primegy for double rewards

Taken together, Part 2 shows what a season part bundles: new creatures to catch, a new place to catch them, story that leads you there, a higher ceiling to grow into, refreshed modes, and timed events and reward tracks layered on top.

Most of it is gated, so a part doesn’t open all at once. Whisperwake Isles content unlocks after the prerequisite story quests. Dr. Lewis only offers the new promotion assessments from level 60. Many events need the Student I or Student II title, Aniimo Go! needs character level 40, and Egg Heist needs level 50 plus the Rising Egg Scout rank and only runs daily from 18:00 to 24:00. Some events also start later in the part: Aniimo Go! opens on November 12 and Fantasy Resonance, the Jaguaraun event, on November 20.

How does the Companion Handbook work?

Each phase of the handbook features one Aniimo, Hypnyto this time. You level the handbook by finishing Weekly Quests, which refresh every Monday at 04:00, and Season Quests, which are added over time and stay open for the whole version; Daily Activity also gives handbook EXP. Pawprint says there is no weekly EXP cap. After level 100, the handbook cycles its rewards up to a cap of level 1000, and all its quests close when the phase ends.

Rewards come in three editions. The free Standard Edition includes a Hypnyto Egg, a Random Perfect Aniimo Egg, Vein Essence, Sparkling Crystal and raising materials. The Advanced Edition needs a separate activation and adds a Prismana Hypnyto Egg with Perfect Potential, the Hypnyto Soul evolution item, two Sparkling Cubes, 680 Glimmer, two Radiant Dreamshadow and five more Aniimo Box slots. The Collector’s Edition sits on top of that with ten more box slots, another Sparkling Cube, a limited Avatar Frame and Accessory, 200 Glimmer, five Primegy Batteries and ten instant handbook levels. You can also gift an edition to a friend who meets an Affinity requirement.

How does the Monthly Pass work, and how can you judge it?

Pawprint’s posts say little about the Monthly Pass itself. A September 18 patch fixed how Companion Handbook EXP displayed on the Monthly Pass make-up check-in reward screen, which tells you the pass has check-in rewards, allows make-up check-ins and includes handbook EXP. Part 2’s only stated change is the Alpha Challenge option to spend double Primegy for double rewards. The posts checked give no price, duration or full reward list.

This page doesn’t recommend spending. To weigh any paid option against what is stated, these questions help:

  • Does the stated benefit touch how you play? The Part 2 pass change only matters if you run Alpha Challenges.
  • What do you already get free? The Standard handbook is free, and Tidal Treasures and the other events list participation requirements, not purchases.
  • Is the reward timed? Pawprint says this phase’s Prismana Aniimo Egg returns through Home gameplay in Season 3.
  • What does the in-game store say? Prices aren’t in the posts, so check them there.

Pawprint’s launch post also warns that all in-game rewards come through official events and in-game mail, and that it never asks for a verification code or a payment to claim them.

What do players often misunderstand?

  • One word, several seasons. The Home season, Magical Wonder Night, runs on its own clock and ends December 10 at 03:59 in each server’s time zone, not at the season event’s shared end. Holo-Battle Interlink reset its season buffs, and Egg Heist has its own season Collectibles.
  • Part 2 versus S2. The headline says Season 1 Part 2, but the compensation note mentions the S2 season version update. Both refer to this update.
  • Expired Home currencies. Harvest Moon Festival items became Home Coin or Wonder Sugar Crystal, and the Harvest Moon Set left the shop, though Pawprint says it will return in future season events.
  • Level 60 walls. Aniimo beyond level 60 also need an Ascension that consumes an Evolution Item of their main element.
  • In-game versus Steam achievements. The Season Achievement track that awards Prismana Eklue is part of the game; our achievements page lists the 64 Steam ones.

Earlier updates are summarized on the patch notes page, and the basics of the free-to-play game are in the FAQ.

What hasn’t been announced?

  • The Monthly Pass price, duration and full reward list.
  • The price of the Advanced and Collector’s handbook editions.
  • When Season 1 ends, or what the next part brings.
  • The full Part 2 fix list, which Pawprint says will follow later, and whether the fixed Irisalis potential promised for version 1.1 is live.

Frequently asked questions

When does Aniimo Season 1 Part 2 end?

The Part 2 season event and Companion Handbook run until December 9, 23:59 (UTC+0) on Aniimo-Europe, which is December 9, 19:59 (UTC-4) on Aniimo-Americas and December 10, 07:59 (UTC+8) on Aniimo-Apac. Some other events end at different times.

Is the Monthly Pass the same as the Companion Handbook?

No. Pawprint's Part 2 post covers them in separate sections. The Companion Handbook has a free Standard Edition and separately unlocked Advanced and Collector's editions; the Monthly Pass change in Part 2 lets Alpha Challenge consume double Primegy for double rewards.

What happened to my Windborn Stamps?

When the season switched, the season stamp became the Windchaser Stamp, and leftover Windborn Stamps were automatically converted to Credits at a 1:2000 ratio.

How do I raise the level cap in Aniimo?

Through title promotions. From level 60, Trailblazer II raises the Aniimo cap from 60 to 65, and Trailblazer III raises both the character and Aniimo caps to 70.
