CONTROL Resonant Post-Launch Plans: DLC, Photo Mode and Updates

This page tracks what Remedy Entertainment has said about CONTROL Resonant after its September 24, 2026 launch, based on its official Steam posts.

Is there any CONTROL Resonant DLC?

Not yet. None of Remedy’s Steam posts through October 19, 2026 mentions DLC, an expansion or a season pass, including the October 15 post celebrating one million copies sold.

The extras Remedy has mentioned so far:

• A Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes an art book (update 1.4.0 added a spoiler warning to its menu).
• Pre-order bonuses, detailed on the Steam store page.
• Newsletter-exclusive cosmetics for subscribers to the official CONTROL newsletter.
• An outfit from Twitch drops, which Remedy said on September 25 could be earned by watching the game on Twitch.
• More cosmetic pieces for Dylan in future updates. Remedy hasn’t said whether they will be free or paid.

What is on Remedy’s post-launch roadmap?

Remedy laid out its first plans on September 25, the day after launch:

What is New Game++?

At launch, New Game+ let you beat the game only one more time. New Game++ lets you start NG+ run after NG+ run without erasing your progress; Remedy joked you could do 665 runs.

Remedy’s May preview of New Game+ explains what carries over: Aberrant upgrades, unlocked combat abilities, Talents, Artifacts, and health and combat resource upgrades. New runs add more talent nodes, let you equip several abilities from the same Resonant boss, and unlock a fourth Artifact slot. Enemies get tougher, encounters shift, and some Resonants behave differently.

Update 1.4.0 also raises main menu save slots from 5 to 7 (New Game+ runs and your original run use separate save folders) and adjusts rewards so maxing out every Zone in New Game+ is somewhat easier. Full details are on our update 1.4 page.

When is Photo Mode coming?

Remedy expects November 2026, with no exact date yet. It says Photo Mode has been in the works for a while and that it consulted virtual photographers from the community on it. It held the feature back from launch to focus on getting the rest of the game into the best possible shape.

The Steam store lists the game at $59.99 in the US. Remedy’s patch notes also include fixes for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions.

Where can you check known issues?

Remedy points players to the known issues page in its CONTROL Resonant Help Center, to the game’s support section there, and to a Known Issues thread on the Steam forums. In the 1.4.0 notes, it also recommended AMD’s new optional graphics drivers, which it says improve performance and fix several crashes.

What hasn’t been announced yet?

• DLC, an expansion or a season pass: nothing announced.
• An exact Photo Mode date: only “sometime in November”.
• The new cosmetics: no details on what, when, or whether they cost money.
• The next numbered update: Remedy hasn’t dated anything after hotfix 1.4.2.
