Updated · Based on 11 official and cited sources

WARDOGS costs $39.99 in Steam Early Access, which began on September 10, 2026. Bulkhead expects Early Access to last about one to two years and plans a higher price at full release. It is on Windows PC only for now, with consoles announced for 2028, and matches hold up to 100 players split across three teams.

Answers come from Bulkhead’s Steam store page and Steam posts. Where a press outlet is the source, it is named.

Is WARDOGS on PS5 or Xbox?

Not yet. WARDOGS is a Steam Early Access game for Windows PC. Bulkhead’s launch trailer post on September 10 says the game is coming to consoles in 2028. It doesn’t name specific consoles, so PS5 and Xbox versions haven’t been confirmed by name.

How much does it cost?

$39.99 on Steam in the US during Early Access. In its Early Access Q&A, Bulkhead says the game is priced lower during Early Access and that it may raise the price as content, systems and polish are added, closer to full release. No date or new price has been announced.

How long will it be in Early Access?

Bulkhead expects around one to two years and says it doesn’t want to stay in Early Access for long, though the exact length may change. The full version is planned to add more maps, weapons and vehicles (including fighter jets), expanded weapon categories, more objective variations, deeper progression and a stronger seasonal meta game. Content arrives in seasons: Season 1 started at launch and Season 2 on October 15.

How many players are in a match?

Up to 100 players, split into three teams. Teams fight over randomized 2x2 km Control Zones inside bigger maps. Whichever team has more players in the zone scores, and the first team to 100 points takes the match. Everyone starts with $10,000, buys a loadout each life, and keeps cash from match to match.

Can you play it on Linux or Steam Deck?

Not officially. The Steam store lists Windows as the only platform, with no Linux or Mac requirements. GamingOnLinux reported on September 5 that the developers clarified Linux support through Proton would not be available at launch but may come later. Bulkhead hasn’t made a Steam Deck statement in its Steam posts.

Does it support Steam Family Sharing?

No. PCGamesN reported on September 19 that Bulkhead turned off Steam Family Sharing amid discussions about cheating countermeasures, with Bulkhead’s CEO calling the $40 price tag “the best anti-cheat”.
