AION 2 Halloween Event: Trick or Treat Guide

NCSoft announced Trick or Treat on October 15, 2026, and the same tables appear in the October 13 (PDT) / October 14 (CEST) patch notes. Everything below comes from those official posts.

When does the AION 2 Halloween event start and end?

The event went live with a scheduled maintenance and closes with the scheduled maintenance three weeks later. NCSoft gives every time in two zones:

The opening maintenance was scheduled for 11:30 PM PDT on October 13 (08:30 CEST on October 14) and planned to last four hours.

How do you earn Halloween Pumpkin Coins?

Halloween Pumpkin Coin (Event) is the only currency the event shop accepts. You get it from two places: the Trick or Treat attendance track and ten event missions.

Attendance rewards

Check in through the in-game menu under Attendance. You can collect this track once per server.

The missions sit under Season Mission > Event. NCSoft’s table gives the reset as once per week per server.

Halloween Candy grants Attack 25, Defense 250, Max Stamina 300 and 40% faster natural stamina regeneration for 5 minutes. Halloween Cookie grants Max HP 500, Max MP 250, Max Stamina 300 and the same stamina regeneration boost for 5 minutes.

How do you get the Spooky Scary Skeleton skin?

The skeleton breastplate is the Halloween skin you can earn without paying. Buy the Special Halloween Chest for 250 coins (one per server, level 10 or higher) and open it to receive both items inside:

• Spooky Scary Skeleton (Skin: Breastplate) (Bound) x1
• Pet Soul Crystal x10,000

By the attendance table above, your first seven check-ins pay 310 coins, which already covers the chest. Open it in time: unopened Special Halloween Chests are deleted on December 15, 2026 at 11:00 PM PST / December 16 at 8:00 AM CET.

How do Candy Keys and event candies work?

Event candies are placed around the towns, and each one needs a Candy Key. Candy Key Fragments drop when you clear Expedition and Transcendence Dungeons. Turn them into keys with Event Substance Morphs:

The same update added paid cosmetics to the Shop under Atelier, on sale until the regular maintenance on November 24, 2026 (PST) / November 25 (CET). Prices below are NCSoft’s Purple Store prices, and the notes say they may vary depending on each store’s policies.

Which event items get deleted, and when?

The announcement also says mission rewards are removed from your inventory after the event period ends, so plan to spend your Pumpkin Coins before the closing maintenance. Every event item is non-tradable, and NCSoft notes that schedules and some rewards may change.

What hasn’t been announced yet?

• Missed check-ins: the event lasts three weeks and the attendance track has 14 reward days, but NCSoft hasn’t said whether days must be claimed in a row.
• Steam prices: the shop table only lists Purple Store prices.
• Returning items: nothing says whether the skeleton skin or the paid Halloween cosmetics will come back after this event.
• Reset time after the clocks change: the post only lists the 12:00 AM PDT / 9:00 AM CEST reset.
