Where do these numbers come from?
The figure comes straight from the Steam Web API’s “current players” endpoint for AION 2 (app 3393110), which this site reads once an hour. The 24-hour peak and rank come from Steam’s own most-played chart. The history chart is built from hourly samples this site records from the same API, so it starts on the day this page went live and grows from there.
Why the Steam count understates the real player base
AION 2’s global version runs on two launchers: Steam and NC’s own PURPLE. According to NCSoft’s launch FAQ, Steam and PURPLE players share the same servers, but Steam can only count its own users. How many servers does AION 2 have?
NCSoft doesn’t publish how many people play on each server, but its official server list shows where it has opened room for players. Each server holds one faction, and every Elyos server is paired with an Asmodian one. This is the list as of October 19, 2026:

NCSoft kept adding servers after the first wave. During Advanced Access it opened seven more pairs between September 30 and October 2, mostly in Europe. After launch it added Nathara and Tassin in Europe on October 8, and Hithanya and Nemon in North America East on October 9. Europe has more than twice as many servers as any other region. The Advanced Access pairs, the only ones that could transfer in the first week, are listed by region on the server transfer page.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Steam number include every player?
No. NCSoft's launch FAQ says the global version is available on both Steam and the PURPLE launcher, and the two share servers. Steam only counts people playing through Steam.
How many active players does AION 2 have?
NCSoft announced on October 5, 2026 that AION 2 had reached 400,000 active users. That is NCSoft's own figure across platforms, not a Steam count.
How many servers does AION 2 have?
NCSoft's official server list, checked October 19, 2026, has 52 server pairs in the global version: 33 launch pairs and 19 Advanced Access pairs. Each pair is one Elyos and one Asmodian server, so that is 104 servers. Europe has the most, with 23 pairs.
How often does this page update?
This site reads the Steam Web API once an hour. The page shows the latest of those hourly samples, and the history chart is built from them.
