Adventure Sharing, added in April 2026, lets you upload a world with your buildings and let other players download and visit it, alone or as a group. Version 1.0 added Sparkworks, a logic system that connects inputs such as levers and pressure plates to outputs such as doors and traps through a 2D graph editor, so you can build puzzles, trap dungeons, parkour courses and arenas for visitors.
Enshrouded has always been as much about building as about fighting. Keen Games has spent the last year turning those buildings into something other players can visit and play. This page explains the two features that make it possible, Adventure Sharing and Sparkworks, from Keen’s own posts: the April 2026 Forging the Path update, the October 8 Sparkworks announcement and the 1.0 changelog of October 14.
What is Adventure Sharing?
Adventure Sharing arrived with Update 8, Forging the Path, on April 21, 2026. Keen called it the first step toward letting the community share its constructions and adventures with each other, and it reworked the main menu around it. The idea is simple: you upload your version of Embervale, buildings and all, and other players download it to look around.
What you can do, according to the Update 8 changelog:
- Share a world. In the single-player menu and the multiplayer hosting menu, any world can be uploaded to the Adventure Sharing server.
- Present it. Before uploading, give the world a name, tags, a description and preview screenshots.
- Take screenshots in game. A new camera item, crafted at the workbench, takes the in-game pictures you attach to your upload.
- Choose where visitors arrive. On every world, one Flame Altar can be set as the starting point for visitors, with a toggle on the altar. This also works for peer-to-peer sessions and dedicated servers.
- Browse other worlds. Search by name, filter by tags, upvote, subscribe, and visit a world alone or as a party in a peer-to-peer session.
At the time, Keen said this was only the beginning and promised tools for building content for others, including logic for interactive elements, puzzles, spawning enemies and traps. Sparkworks is that promise.
What is Sparkworks?
Sparkworks is the logic system that came with version 1.0 on October 15, 2026. Keen’s October 8 announcement explains it in one line: it connects inputs, like pulling a lever or stepping on a pressure plate, with outputs, such as a door opening or a trap opening underfoot.
How it works, from the 1.0 changelog:
- Craft the tools and props. Sparkworks is accessed by crafting a new set of tools and interactive props.
- Place interactive elements in your base, such as the levers, plates, doors and traps you want to connect.
- Wire them in the graph editor. A new 2D graph editor shows every input and output, lets you configure them and visualizes the connections and the rules between them.
Keen’s ideas for what to build range from the simple to the ambitious: light switches, dungeons with traps and puzzles, enemy encounters, challenging parkour levels, battle arenas and escape rooms. Its own joke example is replacing the bridge into your base with trapdoors that open when someone steps on it, and not telling your friends.
Combined with Adventure Sharing, Sparkworks turns a shared world from a showroom into a level. A visitor arriving at your chosen Flame Altar can be led through a course you designed, with doors that open only when they solve something.
What did 1.0 improve in Adventure Sharing?
The 1.0 changelog lists several menu improvements:
- Every sorting category has a “show more” button that opens the full list sorted by that category.
- A new category highlights selected adventures, and creators have more tags to describe theirs.
- You can remove your upvote or downvote.
- While visiting a shared adventure, you can see its name and details and vote on it without leaving.
Which 1.0 building changes help creators?
Several changes in 1.0 make building, and so building adventures, easier:
- Airborne Architect, a new skill at the center of the skill tree, lets you build while flying freely. Keen jokes that scaffolding experts are out of a job.
- More places to build. Most areas that used to be no-build zones now accept player bases.
- More Flame Altars. Unlocking Flame Level 11 raises the maximum number of Flame Altars in a world to 16.
- Chests in place. Storage chests can be upgraded or turned into magic chests without emptying them, and chests and map markers can be named.
- More props. Many props seen around Embervale were added to the crafting lists at the community’s request, along with red marble columns and arches, potted night plants and placeable food.
- A gem forge station can be placed in your base late in the game.
- Limits. A generous cap on the number of factories per world now exists; a warning appears before you reach it.
Visitors will also see your work better: the new brick renderer keeps distant terrain and voxel buildings detailed instead of turning them into blocks, and lighting in large bases is cheaper to render, so more point lights can be shown.
What hasn’t Keen explained?
- A full list of Sparkworks inputs and outputs. The posts name levers, pressure plates, doors and traps as examples and mention enemy encounters, but Keen hasn’t published a complete list in text; its announcement points to a video.
- Whether shared worlds can be moderated or reported, and any size limits for uploads.
- Cross-platform sharing, since the game isn’t cross-platform yet.
